You're on the pathway to settling in Aotearoa –
New to Aotearoa
Support with enrolment, interpreting, refugee health services, and counselling.
Enrolling with a GP
Everyone in New Zealand can enrol with a general practice. We can help you find a practice and understand the enrolment process.
When you enrol, you will:
- Have a regular doctor and healthcare team who know your health history
- Pay less for appointments (subsidised care)
- Be able to access repeat prescriptions more easily
- Receive reminders for immunisations and health checks
Interpreter services
Free telephone interpreting is available for health appointments. Ask your practice to arrange an interpreter when you book your appointment.
Interpreters can help you communicate with your healthcare team about your health concerns, understand your diagnosis and treatment options, and ask questions.
